Saw it in person over the weekend, as well as the 2 new pair of skates. Bauer sticks are always the best all around. The only down side i think is the color. It is all black and isnt the coolest looking, BUT it is still pretty good looking.Since Bauer stick usually come out in September or October (not sure when the Nexus is coming out) I believe Bauer has just sent out a prototype of it and the will come out with a colorful stick probably in the summer. Or maybe they wont have an exact color for it and you can customize it online.Dont take my word for anything I just said, except that I did see it at the NAHL Top Prospect tourney.

So many people forget that there is a lot to consider when purchasing a glove as you mentioned. Size seems to be the main concern but position has a lot to do with it as a young player grows older with the game. I will highly recommend this review!.

Decent enough start.

I like 3 PreSeason games myself. ...I also like the idea of starting mini camps 2 weeks
earlier so that coaches can get that "much needed practice" in to scope out the
young talent who'll make up their kick coverage that they claim is the need to evaluate
with all 4 preseason games.

2nd love the idea of scrapping the pro bowl.
Instead why not bring back the skills competition ? Fans love to argue about who the
NFL's fastest player is ...almost as much as who has the best teams.

The money issue is obviously the biggest hurdle. Players should've just taken the
deal the owners offered originally. Which was to keep things "as is" for another 5 years
and putting 10 Million annually into a "pot" that would go to a retired players fund.
The NFL simply won't continue to grow in this country and the owners know that
unless the game catches on worldwide ...and soon, it could start to see a decline
in interest. Right now it's peaking and in this country the only thing we love more
than building up a winner is destroying what we build.

Other than that...I like the ideas !

Thanks a lot for explaining the difference between gloves for each position. Some player think that there is just one type of glove and just pick one. Each position likes different styles of gloves as for receiver they get regular style and linemen get cut off fingertips as can be seen at www.profootballgloves.com

Shot the commercial with Adrian Gonzalez last week...the newest Red Sox player will be swinging a white Tater Grip on his bats this upcoming season. Look for the commercial to air across the country starting in late January.

The grip was just approved by the ASA so it is a legal product to use for all girls softball!!!

Sure, go ahead and use pinetar if you still want to. The concept is that this grip will not twist or retain water like bat tape does. If a player still wants the grip to be sticky with pinetar they can still use it. What the Tatergrip does is give a true performance grip like golf clubs have. Take a look at your golf clubs...do you see any tape on your driver? No, the reason tha Taylormade, Callaway, etc. don't use tape is because the performance of tape is horrible. The hands twist and torque the tape which means decreased performance in the swing. The reason tape is still on bats is because nobody has come up with a way to get the solid piece grip over the knob until now. I have had some players say that they don't need to use their batting gloves now because of this grip. Like any player, personal preference will determine if they want to use pinetar or not with this grip.

The reaction when people first hold it and swing one is, "Wow, this feels great."

Hey Ben:
I'm the national sales manager for Tatergrip and it is the first true performance grip on the market. We have been working on this technology for over the past few years and have come up with a product like no other on the market. Sure the flames and flags might be a little hokey for a grown man to put on his bat, but that is why you have the ability to download any type of file you want for your background. If you don't want the fancy designs you can always go for the solid grips (red, black, blue, pink and white like Adrian was using the last week of the season). When people are spending $300 for bats they are holding $.50 worth of tape that twists and separates over time. Our grip will never separate, twist or retain water like tape does. When was the last time you saw a set of golf clubs with tape? They are all solid piece because of performance and it wasn't until now that you could get this type of grip on a bat.

We have sold them this year in Cooperstown as well as Williamsport and from Los Angeles to Columbus...the Tatergrip is going to be the hottest baseball item in 2011.
